Job Summary:

As the Controller for our France business, your primary responsibility is to maintain, manage, and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy and work with our 3rd party accounting firm to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. You will play a key role in developing, implementing, and maintaining financial controls and guidelines to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risk. Additionally, you will track and maintain weekly and monthly financial and operating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance against targets.

Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Maintain, manage, and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, adhering to French accounting standards and IFRS. Produces Month-end reporting, Budget, forecast and weekly reports.
- Financial Controls: Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Payroll Management: Manage the payroll for a staff of up to 30 people.
- KPI Tracking: Track and maintain weekly financial and operating KPIs to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Budget Achievement: Achieve budgeting goals through proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions, providing insights to support decision-making processes.
- Process Optimization: Lead initiatives to optimize finance-related reporting processes, improving efficiency and accuracy.
- Strategic Support: Assist on numerous ad-hoc and strategic opportunities and challenges to grow the business and manage risk, providing financial insights and recommendations.
- Financial Accounting: Partners with the outside accounting firm to ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial requirements and assists auditors, gathering and providing information and documents needed for inquiries from corporate partners.
- Organizational Support: Provide organizational and administrative support for the financial operations of the company, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed.
- Optimization Opportunities: Drive optimization opportunities through increased utilization of core accounting systems, collaborating with the IT team and/or third-party implementation partners.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in financial management or a related role.
- Strong understanding of French accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems (SAP Business One a plus), with experience in process optimization.
- Excellent knowledge of invoicing, ledgering, managing cash-flow and other accounting disciplines.
- Fluency in French and English, both written and verbal.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- High degree of personal integrity and professionalism, exhibiting self-motivation, persistence, and dependability. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
