At Acta by Jifmar, a global leader in maritime solutions, we are looking for a Business Controller to join the international Finance team in Den Helder. Are you a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a passion for data and finance? Then we are looking for you. This position will allow you to further develop your personal and professional skills in a dynamic international working environment. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Analysis and Reporting: 
* Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, and provide insight and recommendations 
* Utilize Power BI and other analytical tools to generate insightful reports and dashboards in collaboration with the finance team located in France 
* Collaborate with various departments to gather relevant data and ensure accuracy in reporting 
* Contribute to the development and implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting frameworks and initiatives 


Financial Planning and Control: 
* Coordinate the planning and control cycle including budgets, forecasts, and financial plans 
* Monitor financial performance against budget and provide recommendations for improvement 


Improvement and Innovation: 
* Drive continuous improvement in financial and operational processes together with international internal stakeholders 
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative technologies, Ai-driven solutions and automation tools 


Ad-Hoc Analysis and Projects: 
* Support senior management with ad-hoc financial analysis and projects 
* Conduct research and provide insights to support strategic decision-making 
* Participate in evaluation and analysis of potential investments and business opportunities.


 
REQUIREMENTS 

Qualifications:
* BSC / BA in business economics, accountancy, in business administration or controlling. MSc preferred; 
* At least 1- 3 years’ experience in Business Finance positions; 


Competences:
* Strong Excel and MS office skills, experience with BI tools (Power BI) is a strong plus; 
* Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch. 
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; 
* Excellent communication skills; 
* An energetic, “can do” approach; 
* Strong planning and organizational skills; 
* Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines; 
* Pro-active Problem solver; 
* Passion for working with data; 
* Interest in innovative technologies.
